The Cowan Lab’s research initiative is currently focused on pain perception in special populations, including those with cancer and dementia. We are also in the exciting process of expanding the Psychiatry department through our research initiatives to include a depression clinic. Overall, we aim to examine our target populations through the use of neurobiological, genetic, and behavioral assessments.
