Pain & Aging Research

In partnership with Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Ohio State University, UTHSC is currently recruiting for a study investigating the pain experience in older adults with cancer or possible Alzheimer’s Disease. We are looking for adults over the age of 60 with cancer active within the past year and adults over the age of 60 with possible or probable Alzheimer’s Disease. Study participation lasts up to 7 weeks and participants and caregivers are eligible for up to $250 each for completing the study. Biorepository and Integrative Genomics Initiative (BIG)

In partnership with Methodist Le Bonheur and Regional One, the Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic at University Clinical Health is participating in the Biorepository and Integrative Genomics Initiative, also known as the BIG Initiative. This aims to collect the DNA of volunteer patients to study a variety of health conditions. DNA collected for the purposes of the repository are intended only for research and are decoded
which allow researchers to examine the relevant DNA anonymously.
